Hollowed out stock h pipe performance?

im looking at the cheap way for performance... so theres a stock h pipe for a 99 stang for sale down here and i was wondering what the performance potential would be if i emptied out the cats (how and what does that entail.) and then just put the hollowd catted h pipe in instead of my current stock h pipe thanx

i wouldn't do it, way too much work for really no performance gain, I would just save your money for a month or so and get a off-road h-pipe
