as jive said, you lost boost because the cold air is denser, so the pressure is lower, but you probably gained power because of that colder denser charge. thats probably the difference you are feeling. this happened on muscle mustangs and fast fords' supercharged bullitt project when they dropped the inlet temps drastically

Exactly. I can pic up as much as 2lb's in colder air and usually has more o2 in it.

I'll see tonight when I head out to our local hang out spot at Bass Pro Shop. It should be a lot cooler by now than this afternoon. I'll report back what I found out.

I make more 3lbs up top with mine on cold days maybe 1lb on hot days.

Somethings else to look for is Maf backwash can be a problem with some setups but it's not an easy fix. The Bypass tube needs to be moved closer to the S/C inlet and placed at a 45* angle... I would start with either moving the maf lower down into the bumper, putting your bypass closer to the TB inlet tube (If it's not already there), or buy a Mini race Bypass.

ask a lightning owner what happens when temps get cold. they've had some issues with blowing up in colder air due to more boost.

Your refering to pegging the small 90mm maf? My buddy blew the bottom of his block but racing on a cold night with a 90. Then I was using the same maf and I blew mine at 488rw on a cold night.

That and they're not forged from the factory which I thought was stupid. I run a 90mm but it's a SCT 2400 with a diablo mafia

I have a Vortech setup, so my MAF is already as low as it will go in the fender well. Currently I'm using a turboXS bypass valve. It works the same as the plastic bosch one, but it's metal and was taken off a t-trim aftercooled Bullitt making way more than I am, so I know it works.

I got on it last night and didn't see any improvement in boost. Well, the plus side is I think I'm getting better gas mileage, down side is no gain in boost. Oh, well. It is what it is.
