If your at all curious what caused that hole, i found a valve inside it

we had been in a couple month battle of a blown intake manifold gasket, then a cracked intake, then this and then that. I think the coolant in the engine got to it and just broke a valve spring and what not. The head looks just as bad. the spark plug was mashed up and the combustion chamber all messed up. What didnt help is we also found out that his CEL was unhooked and had no bulb. when we noticed the coolant leak the first time i hooked up my scanner and the computer had 6 codes, but since no CEL i never really thought about hooking up the scanner...

was this a used car purchase? i'd be pissed to find that the previous owner had disconnected the CEL without telling. Tho don't inspection places look for it to turn on when you first turn the ignition on?

lol well he is going to get another engine and go from there. he gave me the old heads for helping him to put on my npi car i just have to machine em out.
