02 GT suspension!! HELP!

A question on the stock shocks/struts, I have an 02 GT and when Im going down the road, my car has really rough ride, and shakes pretty bad. also when I catch a bump of any kind it sounds like the springs are really creaky/ squeaky like a box spring matress for example : you jump on and the springs bounce abck and forth making a high pitch squeaking noise. what could cause this??

Other than that, my suspension or steering creaks when I turn my wheel to the Right only not the left?? Like when I pull into my driveway something creaks only when I turn right. never left??? WTF???

need help guys.

Sounds like you are in need of some joint lube at the very least

This will cause LOTS of squeaking, but not a harsh ride. Is your car lowered (not sure from sig pic). Stock shocks/struts can fail pre-maturely on lowered springs.

Jazzer
I havent lowered it myself since I got it, however I do not know what was done before I bought it. Im not sure how to tell really. It doesn't look any lower than the Sixxer we also have at the house which is the same year model.

Its kind of annoying. How could I check the shocks, struts, and other steering? What could I look for as an indication of failure/ wear?

I dont know much about suspension components so Im not even sure what those are to be honest. I do my own work but, as Im on my third 99-04 car, I have only done electrical work on them.

Its stock as of my knowledge. I will take a look though. I HATE noises other than RPM's and my exhaust as I pass those little fart cans.

But like jazzer said lube up the parts. Its an 8 year old car, it could have those problems.

Take your ride to a good local shoppe and have them take a peek at it

Odds are, there is a loose suspension component or lube-job needed.

You will need a grease-gun to lube the ball joints and likely at least some of the issue you have

Also i tried to read up and couldnt figure out where the proper place to put a floor jack would be to lift either end of the car for a better look. Where do i place it?! Not suppose to use differencial and dont know of a front end place either.

ive jacked my car up by the pumpkin a hundred times or more. in the front i used to jack it up by the k member, but now that its lowered cant get a jack under there lol. when you jack it up on the side obviously use the frame and do it so you can place your stands closer to the front of the car. you dont want the weight of the motor pulling down on the frame, this is how frames bend... same thing when lifting the front end. put the stands close to the front of the car. Dont ever work on a car supported by a jack only. always get some jack stands under it before YOU get under it.

To jack the whole rear I use the diff, and to jack the whole front I use the k-member. Like above, now that its lowered I drive half way up my ramps to get the jack under the k-member when I need to pull the wheels.

Okay, so Im clear with the whole flow jack thing, but in relevance to the original topic, I checked out my suspension as i did my oil change, and I dont see a single grease joint, or any place I can use a grease gun to quiet the squeaking.

does anybody have some pictures of the exact places your suppose to grease?

seriously I dont see anywhere that I could, I cant even insert anything into a boot.

You should have a zerk fitting on your lower ball joint, I have uppers as well , and is probably the source of your squeaking.
