I'm pretty sure a regular vortech kit is a draw through setup so you're going to have to run a bypass setup rather than a blowoff setup. I don't think they really make loud bypass valves. If you switched over to a blow through setup you could run a BOV though.

Vortech kits are very reliable, just ask Jivepepper
I run a procharger though

ok people tend to confuse this so i'll clarify.. there is a difference between a bypass valve and a BOV.. you can't use a BOV on a mustang, it will flutter and make the car run like crap. what you need to do is use a bypass valve but you can always route it to the atmosphere like a BOV and it will still sound cool.

if your vortech is a draw thru (with your maf before the blower) then you must run it back into the system, or you're bleeing off metered air. If you're running it as a draw thru (maf between the head unit and throttle body) you can run it to the atmosphere. if you switch from the stock vortech setup (draw thru) you'll have to get a retune.

Why can't you use a BOV on a mustang? I'm assuming you meant on a supercharged mustang, cause I don't see why you couldn't run a BOV on a turbo'd stang.

What is the difference between a BOV and a bypass valve? All I've ever read is that basically they are the same thing, except a BOV vents the air off whereas the bypass valve recirculates the air

I'm not sure because Procharger comes as a blow through. I would say you'd just have to get different piping and maybe a new MAF, then vent you're bypass valve off to the atmosphere
