GT Build Plan

alright soon im gonna have a 03-04 gt with 7500 bucks (canadian)to play with it. my plan is 700rwhp. full suspension and a little bodywork. im tihnking the 2.2L KB supercharger. what do you guys have to say for the engine? engine is gonna be first. and i'll be doing all the work myself. except for the tuning. what would be the best way to get to 700rwhp without stressing the engine?

5.4 swap? thats alot of power for a 2 valve 4.6 i think... doubt you can even reach that with a 7500cdn budget...

mmr shortblock and the 2.2kb will get you close.. but youll still have stock valvetrain and such.. 7500 isnt enough.. 5.4 swap is not the way to go.. youll just be wasting money that you could put into a 4.6L

you will need the 2.6 or the 2.8 for that level. you will need forged short block, good flowing(Not stock) heads, cams, fuel system and all the supporting drivetrain. Not going to happen on 7500 candian, sorry

2k for a rotating assembly
2k for good heads
1k in machine work
500 min cams
other stuff ads up to 500 easy

thats 6k right there

plus you wont want a stock block 300 for a teksid

6300

700 hp isnt a motor you just buy basic parts for.

i agree and dissagree. the 4.6 can take it, but the 5.4 would be alot better of a platform for that high a hp. look at the shelby cobras, why do you think they used the 5.4? the supersnake is 700+... that and a 4 valve 5.4 in a new edge would be sick as hell

as long as its a teksid or 03 cobra block

you cant deny more cubes make power easier

plus the 5.4 will help the lackin low end of a 4.6

700 too 1k to port the pi heads he already has..(why buy new ones??)
600 max on machine work.. dunno who your machinist is but he is over charging you out the WIZAAAAA!!!
