water in gas

Ok i filled up last night and this morning when i was driving, the service engine soon light came on, and the car started to chug a little in the higher rpms of 2nd and 3rd. I thought maybe there was something in the airbox so i checked it first, it was good. Could this just be water in my tank or would disconnecting the battery possibly reset the computer ?

It could be bad gas, or something else. Have your local auto parts store check the code it's throwing (they usually do it for free).

If you find out there's bad gas from when you filled up... go bitch out the store who sold you the bad gas. I did that and they gave me my 40 bucks bad because the guy who was talking to him said "The gas might be a little on the weak side" after I filled up when I walked into that.

take a sample from ur schrader valve let it sit and the water will vall to the bottom of the container, take that into the gas station and they will do whatever you want. I had that happen and the guy hooked me up cause he had a tank leak and that is a big gas station environmental no no.
