Need Help Finding Parts, LMR Had Nothing For Me
Does anyone know where I can find a new negative battery cable for my 2001 GT? Since there are no illustrations I can't be sure what I looked up in Ford's parts catalogue is what I need...some parts have 1000 names. My cable is not connecting right, after a few weeks that blue/green corrosive crap builds up and I have to chip it off until the battery reconnects. I found the piggyback connector thanks to Acehole, thanks again...The other thing I need is a filler pipe and filler pipe retainer or gasket for the fuel tank. Again, I think I looked it up incorrectly in the catalogue I don't think the going price is $180.00.

I just had to replace the filler pipe rubber hose at the gas tank on my sons 05 because sombody cut the hose to steal the gas, what a bummer I had to buy the filler pipe assembly to get the new rubber hose, 220.00 for the kit all I needed was the hose. the hose is custom bigger on one end then the other, then 100+ for labor what a bummer. Thats probably one of the strangest stories Ive ever heard..who steals GAS? Anyway yeah thats the price I got for the entire assembly, I just took another look at it though and it looks like the only thing thats cracked is that plastic basket that plugs right in on top..the edge of that thing is cracked, I can't see down into the filler pipe but as to amend my original post about this...does anyone think that little crack in that plastic tip could be causing that check engine light?

The cut filler hose did make my check engine light come on. So yes it could be. JM

They never have any small late model parts, everything you'll ever find is for 65-93 mustangs. Ive also checked SpeedConcepts.net, CJ Pony Parts, Mustangs Unlimited, the Michigan Ford dealership I usually get all my parts from and even autozone...nobody seems to carry negative battery cables!! This sucks.

Well there is one place that can definitly order it for you. A local body shop. If your car gets in an accident they have the parts numbers to buy any part for your car that they need to fix it. Ask them to order it for you.
