That's what I want to do, but I live in Iowa. Not a whole lot of twisties around here unless I go home (Waukon, IA is like 15 minutes from Minnesota so there's actually hills and corners). The organization that does autocross stuff in IA only has like 6 or 8 things a year, and all the events are over two hours away.

Drag racing is okay, but it's 12-13 seconds of going fast in a straight line... whoo hoo. But I live about 7 minutes from the 1/4 mile that has test and tune nights almost every Friday and five or six special events every summer.

I just don't want to dump a bunch of money on suspension parts to only be able to do a few events every year.

How the fuck would a town in Indiana be ten minutes away from Minnesota? haha, you had it right the first time when you said Iowa. And yeah, it does suck.

IA = Iowa, IN = Indiana, ID = Idaho, UD = Youdaho

I see your point about moving. I'd like to move somewhere else and then move back around home when I get older. My luck though, I'd move away to Nebraska or Kansas or something where there is abolutely no corners. I'm just in a pickle...

Jazzer is pushing the twisties, but dang that stuff is expensive! And if I go the twisty route, there's really no point in me building a forged motor and running 600 rwhp. I'd be much better off putting that money into suspension parts

not entirely true, just make sure you know your limits and know how to work the gas pedal! lol Also with 600 hp you will still be able to enjoy the staight lines as well.

Jazzer what number you putting down?

I think Jazzer is around 260 or 265 at the wheels. It's in his garage, as is his giant list of suspension upgrades.

And I know that more power will help, it just seems like the money would go a lot further with suspension parts.

but if you went the high hp rought...you STILL have to do the suspension rought. cause you wont put anything to the ground.
what is 600hp if it all spins away.

but me personally i love hairpins, s curves, and mountain roads
so i go the suspension route.

im not to concerned with my motor. i wonder about swaps all the time
but thats just incase one day my pony fails me.

but i dont plan on that happening . if it dose. its either 5.4 2v or mark 8 4V

I might just swap in the mark viii motor that I have and boost it the way it is until it goes. Then build it up with forged internals.

Can someone confirm that the 1694 is the model number from the cobra?
