PI heads and PI intake manafold on a 2001 GT?

Is it true that Mustang GT's from 1999 0n up came from the factory with the PI equipment all ready on them? I have heard both answers. I have a 2001 and wana throw some hairy cam's and a set of ford racing blue valve covers in her. I first have to find out the truth about the PI equipment. If so any input on cams? One more thing anyone think the Typhoon Intake MAnafold worth the money?

yes 99 and up are pi engines. i would do heads and cams at the same time. my personal preference is heads and cams from vt. but if you are on a budget patriot performance makes some good heads for the money. im not sure if ford racing makes blue valve covers for our cars???i know they make them for the cobra 4vs but im not positive on the 2vs

yeah your car has pi heads and intake.

as for the blue covers, not gonna find them. they only make them for the 4v motors.

as for heads, i say go vt, thats what i run. as for cams i am running comp cams stage 2 270 cams. they are pretty lo[ey and move the power band to 3500-6500 rpms

well the biggest would be a stage 2 but your going o have to do springs also. agian i reccomend comp cams. they are a good n/a cams, and will also do good with boost because they have a pretty big lsa, like 113-115 or something like that. i suggest comp cams

doubtful. you could buy a set of bbk or some other company that makes them out of aluminum and you could have those powder coated

you can get the plastic ones painted but i would just get some after market ones they look better and keep some of the valvetrain noise down.
