I drove my car around with the Aluminum BBK undrive pulleys for over 20k miles and didnt have any silver anythin on my belt, I may even still have the belt. A rubber belt should not be wearing a metal pulley. There may be contaminates in your belt that are wearing the pulley but then you should be replacing the belt.

hey 02 only the a/c and p/s slow down with udp's. the alt and w/p spin at the same rpm as with the oe pulleys on them.

Duuuuude...are you dumb??????? Ask anybody else...THAT KNOWS....if they made them smaller they would be faster...bigger slower! Think about a super charger.... To raise boost and spin it faster you put a smaller pulley bro....

Ok guys...I really hate to bring back this old post but carnut59 is a idiot..and I'm pretty sure he's the one that gave me the bad rep... When he needs it ... He is a dumbass... The bigger pulley on the altenator and water pump make it turn slower as does the smaller pulley on the crank... Correct????

Mostly correct. Bigger crank pulley = faster spin on everything. But bigger accessory pulley makes that accessory move slower.

That is why people with blowers have to get an "overdrive" crank pulley, which is bigger (like 8.5 inch ones) where stock is i believe a 7 inch. Then they also have to counter its effects by getting bigger accessory pulleys. That gives them more spin for the blower and close to same for everything else. Jive has just gone through this headache

He showed me where the pulleys were eating into the belt and the belt eating into the pullies- the water pump pulley had a groove worn down in it and the belt had silver all over it.

I'm actually grabbing my old pullies from home this weekend and throwin em' back on. The noise is just ridiculous, the concept is just ridiculous, and of course, the horsepower gain is...shit.

Oh, and I've had my pullies for over 40k now. Second belt within that time frame.

Alright


I was thinkin about buying the pulley kit as well and I have sound system I want to install but I dont want my car stalling for a mere 15 or whateva hp...So if I were to only install two out of the three would it be a big difference then?

There's no two outa three...you gotta do the crank (bottom) and the water pump (middle) and you can leave out the altenator (top)...
