New toys

I went to carson city (an hour from my house) yesterday to pick up a used set of 275/40/17 nitto 555r's. They were supposed to be at about 75% tread and he wanted 150. I figured I would go check them out. I get there and these things are almost brand new (atleast 90% tread). He told me if I would take them I could ahve them for 20 dollars. I said ok and thanked him. Sometimes god doesnt hate me.
also the g/f ordered me a jlt cold air intake and that should be here on thursday. I found a super chips programmer locally for 100 so I figure I will pick that up too. Should be a good weekend.

Why would anyone buy USED tires. I just picked up a nail in one tire and had to order two new BF Goodrich G-Force tires for the back of the car because Essenza does'nt make them in my size anymore and I did'nt want two rear tires with different tread wear...I've always taken that seriously...The slightest problem with your tires can cause a big accident.

They were to try out to see if I like them before spending 350 on a new set. The tires are in great condition and are mainly for the track anyways.

I can say that is not true. I did alot of canyon runs out here in Cali in the canyons around the AV and for a while I was tryin to save money by puttin used tires on the back of the 04 gt I had, they didnt always have even tread wear and they did just fine through the curves

Why did you buy new tire for a nail hole? For like $10 they can plug that for you, especailly if the hole is easy to find. It takes like 20 minutes.
