I think you win, im not going to go that far, and I dont think the weight saved from an aluminum block will get me half of the difference between us. Good luck, im sure you will clear 2900lbs.

going that way with the rear seat? I have been rocking the stright shot to the trunk for a while and am very used to it, thinking about making it one flat piece and calling it a day.

Its going to be made out of 5052 aluminum and .062 thick. It will have beads rolled in it to give it strength so it doesn sag

Center section of the rear seat delete is done. now i just have to do the two sides. would've done it all in one pc but didnt have anything long enough

I was thinking if i did mine (Gutted It) i would do the door panels and RSD and the spare tire well in black with the silver rivets i think that would look good

has to look like someone cared what they were doing, anything that gets done in my dads shop that could be traced back to it, has to look damn near perfect, doesnt matter if its for a customer or personal use

Mine is not, its only made you of .032 thick 5052 aluminum. it keeps its flatness from the beads and the flanges bent on either end that the sides will attach to.
