There right behind the Rear tires towards the bottom of the rear pumper and have two little 8 mm bolts holding them in place. The one was so caked with rubber i could not get to the bolts and got pissed and grabbed the box pushed and pulled until i bent the metal bracket that held it and took it the two bolts and half the bracket off in one piece after the bracket snapped, i have no idea what there called or why there even on the car.

2900-3000lbs... I bet I hit it before you or end up less than you. Pissing contests always motivate for better results, I need someone to beat.

Nate, why do you want to make the trunk lid pin on? wouldn't make it any lighter. maybe if you did dzus fasteners but they woulding really work with the structure of the truck, maybe if you had just a shell or fiberglass one

The dogbone is the weight that hangs on the differential, its cake to remove and weights like 10lbs or so I swear.

Read Below about trunk,You can take a Hole Saw to any place on your car that won't be seen or hurt the strength of the car.
Example Pic:
Modular Misfits

go to GOOGLE type in"Mustang Weight Reduction" Follor the links plenty of info will pop up,This should keep you busy for a while.

I never meant to just make it a pin on, lol i meant take the trunk off, gut the inside and remove the shocks, leaving it a Shell maybee leave the hinges and when you shut it put some Locking push in style pins of some Dzus fasteners so it still stays shut,But then you can remove the latch along with anything else out of the trunk lid.

Add the bolts too... Whatever, its free weight reduction, and its not scraping away at the chassis for a couple days to remove 5lbs.

yep... the only reason why my car is getting chromoly is so that I only gain about 60 pounds or so with a 10 point cage...

Then I can take the crash bars out of the doors and the bumper supports and I should be all set.... still all metal or stock body pieces... eventually I will go to a carbon fiber hood, front bumper, rear bumper, and deck lid... but until then I will stick with what i have
