professional products
okay, so i've read the the reports on the p&p intake plenum and t&b, and they are negative on here... however i talked a guy here in phila that runs one on his gt and has sung its praises... wtf is there evidence to back either side? is it bad or is it good?

The Accufab is ofcourse the best but is also $400.00 . The P&P is a whole cheaper and is better than stock. Its pretty much like anything you get what you pay for.

i just got a professional products combo and plan to put it on soon... ive talked to people around here at the track who claim it doesnt really matter... ive heard stories of accufab sticking. Ive heard the same about PP.... Its all opinion I think and I have never seen any actual proof one is better than the other....

i ran a p&p t/b and plenum set up and truthfully it worked out pretty good. i sold the set up for and got the prof. parts t/b and bbk plenum, there was a little power difference but not all that much. if you're on a budget then p&p work will help a lot.

20 seems like a lot... Was this your car on the dyno? Or advertised dyno gains?

How large was your spacer? did you have cuts in it for directed airflow?
I just want to know if those things are even worth it.

i had a helix and then went to a 75mm. the helix is made for the stock 65mm. i used the helix as a type of template to make the new one, both were 1in thick and the one i made didnt have the swirls in it. not any difference in performance but just something i wanted to try.

best option is to get a trickflow plenum and a 70mm tb from an aviator and have them ported and polished up real nice, it will out flow the accufab 75 tb/plen combo and cost probably about 100 less after the p&p |

Maybe I'm wrong but isn't it the intake the author of this thread was talking about and not the upper plenum/tb? The lower intake that replaces the plastic is where the controversary over claims and quality arise. mark

In that case I would not worry about the PP TB/plenum but I would not expect much. I got the 75mm BBK TB/plenum and if I got a reasonable offer I would sell them. Them, UDP's and PYPES catted X-pipe/catback did not do much. Maybe 12-15whp with all 3 items. mark
