BEST spring setup for drag


ok, well im working on a budget and all. soooo i want yalls opinions without getting to expensive

i know that the fox body 6cyl front springs for up front is a REALLY good idea, but what about for the back??? any ideas?

Cheap and effective =
Fox-body 4cyl springs( fromNAPA ) up front w/ Lakewood 90/10 struts
Fox-body V8 rear springs (cut)
KYB AGX adjustable rear shocks
Airbag in RR spring
No front swaybar
No rear swaybar
UPR sub-frame connectors
UPR Pro Series Lower Control Arms, solid/spherical ends
UPR Pro Series adjustable uppers, spherical ends
Jegs Poly axle bushings
Torque boxes welded
No quad shocks

Results=

12.41 @ 109 mph w/ CMS stage II cams
11.35@ 120 mph NX 150 shot

Launch soft, shift slow, rev low, stay slow

what do you mean by no quad shocks?? and i already have subframe connectors "come stock on the bullitts" and upper and lower control arms

In regards to the quad shocks: you remove 'em completely. If you've got decent LCAs, you don't need 'em anyway, they're just on there because the stamped steel stock LCAs suck.

And Bullitts came with SFCs? Are they the same ones that are put on the convertibles? Got any pics?

yep thats a good cheap setup jayc, mine was about the same but had eibach drag springs for the front and rear, upr pro series control arms, 90/10 struts, stock rear shocks, quad shocks removed.

I use stock springs that are cut, along with a anti roll bar which is extremly effective low 1.6 60' all day long....

They are to reduce wheel hop with the stock stamped steel control arms

The Bullitt SFC's are the same as the ones on Verts= they suck.

May I ask what you used to cut your springs. I am about to toss the Ford C springs I have, and cut my stocks (flame suit on) and would like to kow what others used. Thanks.
