Cams/Supercharger

I've got the comp cams 270 cams with 113 degrees of lobe seperation. Are they going to be compatible with a supercharger?
This may seem like a newb question, but I've read some conflicting info.

Also, does anyone know, off hand, how many degrees of lobe seperation the oem PI cams had? I have not been able to locate that info.

Furthermore, when these kits are listed as tuner kits- does this mean that everything (hardware wise) comes with the kit and you would have to get it dyno tuned yourself?
Wouldn't that be the best route any way, especially if you have a different than stock set up?

yeah youll be fine using that cam with a s/c now a turbo, no. but s/c your good to go. yes when its a tuner kit, it comes with only the s/c and installation stuff, no tuner. and with the other way when ya get a tuner, it should only be used as a crutch to get you to a tuner

OK, so there an advantage to getting a pretuned kit over just getting the tuner kit, installing it, and trailering my car to the dyno shop?

well youll be able to drive the car to gt a dynp, but seriously i think its better to trailor. you dont have to worry about being tempted to romp all over it. every car responds differently to mods so that canned tune isnt gonna be spot on. hate tp hurt your motor cuz of an off tune

Thanks for the help.
And just to get a little more detailed- I'm assuming that more lobe seperation is better for FI, but I'm really not sure. Or am I worrying about seperation to much as opposed to duration.

no the seperation has to do with boost. you want a wider ls ith boost, so your not blowing boost out the exhaust port when the intake port is opening

Yeah, I see that. So, are you wanting more duration and seperation, more seperation and less duration, or just a happy medium.

Thanks, I am going to look some more and see if I can't find some in depth tech articles on this subject. Not that I need to know, but it would be nice to have a firm grip on what makes a boosted motor really tick. I always see alot of really different dyno #'s posted by people with similar setups and different cams. I just hope I don't inadvertantly rob power from my charger with this cam.
I guess that's how I should have posed the first question- Are the bigger cams going to take away HP numbers with the supercharger as compared to the oem cams?
