yep, happened to me on my way home.. i was more than scared my engine was ruined.. but thank god mine had just spun loose and we could stick it back in long enough for me to limp home and replace it

no the parts sheet said over 1300 in labor cuz they had to take off the heads and send them to a machine shop " "

2v heads suck.. i wish i would have done a 4v swap when i did my motor.. oh well

They may have done that but a lot of people have just fixed the problem without taking off the head. It doesn't take a machine shop to put in a heliocoil in an aluminum head.

By the way, aren't 4v head aluminum?

i have no clue, but with the helicoil thingy, dont you have to drill out the hole and put a new thing in? i heard that the shavings can ef up ur sh!t so thats y they took them off... as for the machine shop.. idk.. its ford
