ANYONE USING A WIDEBAND O2 METER?

I am thinking of fine tuning my car myself but would need 2 things.
1. a wideband O2 meter, about $285. on eBay.
2. Would be for the SCT to actually log a few bits of data as it is supposed to. My nephew has a laptop and is 1000 times more computer literate than I am and he has gotten data to show on the laptop. I would like to be able to log:
1. RPM
2. TIMING
3/4. Both O2 voltages
5. IDC's.
If anyone has worked with a wideband I would like to know what AFR you are able to run and on what octane fuel. I was told that AFR's of 12.8-13.2:1 were the target with the leaner 13.2 being the more powerful if it does knock at that AFR.
Also if anyone has gotten their SCT cal2 to log data I would like to hear about that also. I have 3 custom tunes for 87, 93 and 100 octanes and if I could get the 100 octane tune to run on 93 that would be great. I may need to ad somthing like TORCO but if I get a 5 gallon can that would be 20 tanks with 32ounces of Torco per tank which would put the octane at around 98. That may be enough and tuning is where the power is made. Thanks, mark
