B0B, I would love to boost my stang right now but I'm worried it wont last til I'm ready to swap the drivetrain. I'd hate to be saving up for a cobra package and be stuck rebuilding a blown 2v. For all I know the motor could have been babied but not only do I highly doubt it but I just wouldn't trust it either way. what do you think?

Modmustang97 and reverend dexter, I will take a look at your suspension guide "mod" thank you. I plan on doing both straight line, twisties, and after last night I think I will definitely be doing some drifting. would you guys mind PMing me your versions of the ideal setup for the driving trifecta? I don't want this thread to get too far off topic.

Mrbigjeep, Ya I wasn't thinking crank vs. rwhp when I wrote the post. I know that my 240 would rape my stang seeing as I ran a 12.08 with a 60ft time of I think 1.8ish. But it seriously feels like my stang would hold it. I do have to say though that I did love the feeling of NOS everytime I hit 4600rpm.

To everyone else. Thank you for all the welcomes, I would absolutely never go back now. I would however take an e46 M3 as far as sub V8 cars go.

I know this isn't the kill stories thread but before the bassani pipe w/ a massive exhaust leak I ran an 05-09 GT M/T A/T? not sure but I walked him pretty bad. Like I was behind him at a light and I was able to whip around him shifting out of 2nd and walked him by atleast 1.5 lengths by the end of 3rd. And I know he was on it because the reason he got in front of me was because he did a ricer flyby and jumped in front of me to slam on his brakes at the red light. Is this pretty normal? was he just a terrible driver?

After Bassani pipe w/ no exhaust leak and what feels like a whole new car I walked a modded s2000 and a modded convertible 350z.

I did however get eaten up by a bright green charger SRT8.

Nor, you could boost your car and get a safe tune and have 350-360rwhp and not have any worries. Your dyno tuner will be the key in keeping it safe and reliable. My numbers are below and thats on a stock motor with 150,000 miles. Still going strong

pitbulll.... hush bro.. LOL... your making yourself sound retarded. Not only the gears but the tranny also. 260 at the crank is not 260rwhp AT ALL! Just accept it without a dyno sheet. There are plenty of guys on here with dyno sheets showing less than 260rwhp and thats with a few mods too. Trust us pit!

Most people who know specify. A real car guy will say, 450 at the crank or at the fly wheel. 270 at the rear wheels. 340 all wheel horse power.

All companies tell their power at the crank. They rate the engine before the chassis is every built. That way they also get to say the higher number to impress people. Not everyone knows 0-60 or 1/4 mile times.

Ya if anyone ever tells me how much HP they have I ask "at the wheels?" most of the time its "oh no at the crank" which means they think they have that much HP cause they've never dyno'd their car. If people ask me I just tell them I don't know if I haven't dyno'd yet. or tell them "probably like xxxrwhp"

I dont know too many real car guys that use crank HP numbers.

Baker, wow that is pretty intense! I just assumed you had internals. Wow that makes me feel alot better!

Here, this will be better than just a sheet. This car made 230 at the wheel and I even think that is a little higher than most GT's I have seen in stock form. The ones I have personally seen dynoed were in the 220-225 range.
