replacing rear main seal...info?

What all is involved once the tranny and flywheel/clutch are out of the way? a writeup would be much appreciated!

there will be 2 13mm oil pan bolts that will need to be removed, either 4 or 6 8mm rear main cover bolts that will need removed, a lot of wiggling, and the rear main cover will come off. you may have to loosen the pan enough for the rear portion to drop just a little bit. i have always had motor out every time i had to mess with it.

so that cast aluminum piece is just a dust cover more or less?

it doesnt sound to rediculous....i think im gonna go for it...Im already there so I might as well lol its seeping just a little and its bothering me lol Im gonna replace the pcv's while im at it too....

recommend doing a pilot bearing as well while you are there too.

I ordered the seal today...it'l be in tomorrow

I put a new bearing in it in July when I did the clutch the first time lol
