why are pacesetter headers cheep


im all for buying the best parts but ive heard good tings about pace setter, yet thier headers are only 250, next cheapest are bbk for 450.

-help?

they are shit. they make the stuff from low grade metal, i have never heard a single good thing about them.

seriously man you get what you pay for. I put a set of headers on my old 03 and trust me you don't need anything working against you like fitament issues.

Macs are another alternative. I bought a used set for $75 4 years ago. They are starting to look pretty rough but still work well.

you will be much better off getting some ceramic coated headers. they will last much much longer and they look better. its worth it in the long run

I had an H-pipe and never could get them to fit. They sheared off the little weld nibs that held the flang back. I had to fight this thing the entire time I had it.

+1million. you def get what you pay for when it comes to headers. i shelled out like 800 bucks but i had no fitment issues or threw no CEL's.

What I've heard about pacesetters is that you need to sandblast the factory coating off and re-coat them, then they're great. The factory coatings supposedly don't last, flake off, and then the header rusts out.
