+1 on the line-lock if you're talkin about heat'in meat for a pass at the track.
If you're talkin just roast'em and roll out of it in your driveway/on the street/in front of the neighbor's house/ sittin in traffic (without any brakes) it's probably not gonna do much more than wear the tires and plaster rubber on your bumper cover..

BTW, of course, you always gotta watch the RPM's and make sure you're not over revving the piss out of your valvetrain..

For that first video. The brakes caught fire around the 2 minute mark. I'd say that a little harder on the car than just a normal burn out.

Only adverse effect I had was when I once forgot to turn the traction control off and started burning the clutch for line-lock and traction control really don't go together Other than that, no problems

probably not. a cage would be before that. i already get booted with the current setup, and with a 129 trap speed, she has a 10 in her. the band is rev theory, and the song is "Wanted man".

I didn't see tires popping... Did I miss it?
At our local drag strip, if you do the burnout contest, you have to pop your tires to win, bonus points if something catches on fire, and you win two $10 tickets for next weekends event if you win the contest... Like that's worth it... LOL

every time i buy new tires as soon as i get in the car i break those bitches in right there in the parking lot of NTB or Sears with a nice big smokey burnout. i have to rotate between different tire shops cause i have recieved a few bans...

all the while im hoping that i break something so that i can replace it in my garage with a better part!
