its a method of quality control. buy new tires, then test the new tires. no need to do the test anywhere other than the parking lot...

i have never driven to have my tires put on, lol. i have been towed every single time. i wear them down into the ground every time and then call AAA. its the respectable thing to do.

Seeking out the weakest link? LOL

I did the burnout contest at my local strip ONE TIME. I drove in on perfectly good, and expensive, tires... The person who won had a POS cavalier, dude was hanging out the door gasping for air, tires popped and he kept going, eventually throwing sparks, then his hood was spewing flames and the motor died, granted he probably drove the car there planning to destroy it, he won two tickets and I got to drive home on steel chords...

That was dumb... And I think that's what finished off my posi unit also, one wheel peal is boring as hell.

The best part about mustangs is DONUTS! Fox bodies are the best, right now, my car is like driving a POS Camaro with an open diff, only difference is I can smoke tires on command, anywhere from dead stop to 30mph, Camaro's are lucky to power brake.

The best I ever saw was only on video, I would have died if I was there to see it, some dude on a pro-street drag bike trying to do a pre-stage burn-out, leans left, leans right, the bike shot out from under him and right into the wall!

The best I've ever seen in person was my friend flipping his bike doing a pre-stage burn-out, I laughed my ass off! Racing sport-bikes was SO MUCH FUN! Never got into racing cars, but then again I've never raced a 8 second car either, there might be hope. (read: $$$)

The best burnout iv seen personally was by my buddys arons dodge diesel it has 37" mudd terrains and it was on the highway a 70mph, not only did it white smoke those huge tires it set that big 4 door truck almost completly side ways. But I guess you can do that pretty easy with 1200+ hp and 2300 fttq...

The best burnout I've seen personally was at this race track where everyone was doing burnouts around all the turns.... AKA D1 baby! Nice drift > burnout!!

At our local drag strip, if you do the burnout contest, you have to pop your tires to win, bonus points if something catches on fire, and you win two $10 tickets for next weekends event if you win the contest... Like that's worth it... LOL
I tired to pop them but everything was one fire, motor got to hot and was over heated, and the tires came apart and i did not want to risk the tire slinging on the outside of the fender well and F'ing the Paint i am crazy but i like to keep my car nice...

I agree tho, that's not worth it. Should at least b a trophy! Remind me never to come to said event haha
+1 on the Respect...

Car made it in the MM&FF Mag but you cant tell its mine anyway, and the Mag guys that were there ran over and gave me a MM&FF Tag for the car and told me i deserve it there was so much smoke from the brakes on fire and the car over heating they thought my car blew up, not to mention someone thought hooters was on fire because right after the burnout the fire department showed up
