Why are you throwing money to cams/headers ect when that blower is going to be able to serve as much as that motor can take. Upgrade the internals once you put that Procharger on.

I cant afford the MMR block I want. I will use the headers and cams on the new block too. Jive say like 75rwhp with a T-trim so I am hoping with a D1sc I will see close to that. So since I cant afford a block I will try for 410rwhp to 425 to stay safe and have good powa!

No I'm going to run a 9inch cowl to piss you off...

The real reason is the only centri's I've ever dealt with were in imports and they all performed like shit compared to a closely matched price of a turbo...

But hearing the centri on a stang was like hearing myself getting a blowjob from Jessica Alba, Jlove Hewitt, Lacey Chabert and George Lopez's daughter on the show at the same time!

I'm confused now, do you have a P1 head unit or a D1? As far as your first post a 3.6 pully on a P1 should get you about 10# of boost. With cams and LTs the boost will drop, but the HP will go way up. These engines fail because of HP numbers, not boost numbers.

If you have a D1, you're not going to need many bolt ons to see 400 hp. Those things flow a lot more than a P1. The techs at procharger told me that with a 4" pulley (bigger than stock) on my D1 I should be making 10-12 lbs of boost. They also said that they don't recommend D1 head units on stock bottom ends because of the hp capabilities of the D1, even with big pulleys on them.

5.0 magazine did an article a while ago where they put an F1A on one of the editors wife's 01 GT that was otherwise stock. it ran fine, no danger at all. you just cant boost the shit out of it for obvious reasons.

Yeah but what's the point of buying an F1A if you're not going to boost the shit out of it lol? My D1 does fine on my car because I put an oversized pulley on it. Procharger says that it's not a great idea to put a D1 on a stock bottom end and run the stock 3.85 pulley because of the amount of boost it's gonna produce.

No I have a P1sc for now. I just need to go to a smaller pulley when I do cams and LTs to get my 10psi back...

What you mean they fail?

No need for a f1 imo inless you want to run 6 secong quarter miles.

d1 is fine for GT and P1sc are accually good with 4v's

The P-1SC can generate more power than the stock internals can handle. Unless you intend to get forged internals later there really isn't any reason to get a D-1SC. ProCharger told me that with the same pulley a it will generate around 14-15 psi. That would generate a dangerous amount of horsepower for a stock motor. I was thinking of upgrading but since that was more than my stock internals could handle I decided against spending the additional $1400 for the upgrade.

I vent the by-pass to atmoshere as well but my by-pass valve doesn't look anything like the one in the picture.

As far as driving on the highway at 3,000 rpm. These motors can run at 3,000 rpm all day long without any problems. And, if I remember correctly, automatic have a higher overdrive gear than manual transmissions so your highway rpms should be a little lower than those seen on cars with 4.10s and a manual transmission.

What you mean they fail?
Don't worry about how much boost you're running. Worry about how much horsepower you have. If a motor is only running 2 lbs of boost but it's making 500 rwhp on stock internals it's gonna blow (fail). But if you're running 10 lbs of boost and only putting down 400 rwhp, your engine will last a lot longer.

People get caught up in boost numbers too much. Sure your boost has a lot to do with hp, but not everything. A full bolt on and cammed car running 10# of boost is gonna make a hell of a lot more hp than a stock motor car running 10# of boost. Those cams and headers are going to drop your boost but they're going to get you quite a few hp.

If I were you I'd bring the car and an extra smaller pulley to a dyno and start to get it tuned with the bigger pulley on there. If it doesn't look like it's gonna make the power numbers you were hoping for, swap on the smaller pulley and see what that gets you. Hopefully the shop will let you swap stuff around like that, the shop I'm checking out will let you swap parts. It'll just take a little more time on the dyno which you'll have to pay for.
