cats...

What aftermarket cats is everyone using?... I have an offroad Hpipe right now, but was looking at the Pypes Mini cat, cant really beat it for less than $120/pair. I can definetly smell my car like it is now (almost worried its running rich) it smells like a '67 i about bought not too long ago. Does anyone know if these Mini Cats will get rid of the smell and if it will make my stang quieter?... cause right now im lovin the way it sounds.

Cats will always make your car quieter, but it should be too bad of a drop. As for the smell I guess it depend on what is really causing it. Cats will burn off extra emission in your exhaust, but I'm not sure it will solve your problem.

I didnt have the smell before i put the O/R Hpipe on, so i am guessing it is just the absence of cats... its very rich smelling though

ain't it wonderful? that's the way cars smelled back in the day!!! put some race fuel in it and your eyes will water. anyway, it reminds me of when i was young and my pops was hauling shine. sorry, time warp (LOL). yes, the cats will quiet down things a little and should help with the smell. good luck and eat some "rice!"

is it usual to get a real rich smell when you drop the cats? or doesn't that happen to everybody?
