Cracked intake manifold

Got down to removing the intake manifold and it actually is cracked. It's not just the gasket. I know I had read something about this being a lawsuit or something to that effect. Does that encompass the 2004's, or just the 99-01's?

Edit: nevermind I just found the info. I thought when they redesigned the intake manifold that they went to an all aluminum manifold but their is still plastic on this one. Does this mean that someone swapped the manifold for an older style one or are the newer ones still using some plastic?

it was only on the earlier intakes with the plastic x over. yours doesnt fall into that catagory.

How the hell did you crack the aluminum x over on your manifold? Just go get one from AM, bout as cheap as you can reasonably find. Easy install, maybe 1-2 hours.

i saw your pictures from your other post, you have the correct one. they only thing they made aluminum was the coolant cross over. the rest is still composite

Lol thanks guys. Actually got my local ford dealership to match AM price and they had it in stock. Should have it up and running tomorrow.
