what tires?

i have my set of 15x10 welds with tires that need to be replaced on. they currently have 325/50/15s on them and they are too wide and run the fender pretty bad. question for you guys is what size would i be able to comfortably run with no issues? and what brand as well

Can't be a hoosier for a slick, I can't exactly remember, but I think you are putting down some good power with 4.10s? If so, I would go with a 28 inch tire Hoosier Racing Tire 18155 - Hoosier Drag Racing Slicks - Overview - SummitRacing.com , if not of course go with a 26. Drag radial, you are going to be pretty limited on tire selection if you want wide. Nitto Tires 180300 - Nitto NT 555 R Tires - Overview - SummitRacing.com

On spare rims I wouldnt use Nittos. Unless your doin alot of drag racing theyll prolly end up dry rotting beofer the wear out, plus one of the other DRs will give better traction.

I am pretty sure he daily's with these, and while the others drag radials will provide better traction, they won't last no where near as long. I have BFG's on the GT and it has had about 2000 miles, and about 15-20 passes down the track and they are on their last leg.

Well I have the stockers but I would like to daily the welds if I can find the right set of tires.. So of course I'm not looking for slicks.. For me the nittos didn't hook very well at the track, so I'm going to stay away from those. I was leaning towards MTs or M&H but don't know what the life is on them.

mickey thompson et streets!!

the radials will still hook awesome at the track, do pretty well on the street (and even ok in rain), and last a decent while. not great but probably around 10K if you don't make a ton of passes with lots of burnouts...

i've been researching the same lately, as i too would like to daily drive with a set of bigs/littles. found a set of prostars with m/t's on them so thats why.

i think a 305 would more than suit your traction needs.

MTs will not last, point blank. You will be lucky to get 5000 miles out of them. It is proven that the BFG's last longer, and like I said before, ours have sucked, they hook great, but don't last long at all.

if you can't run a 325, best off to sell the wheel's & get some 8" one's. anything but a 325 wouln't look right on a 10" rim IMO.

good luck finding a 315 or 305. I looked the best I could come up with was a 295/50-15, again seen 'em on 15x10's & they don't look right.

That's the best I could find too, and those were just street radials.

That's a pretty big sidewall, and I would think it would still hit.
