Oil question

hey guys, so I just finished doing my oil change on my 01 GT now my question is this, I'm still using 10W20 weight and wanted to know if its a good idea to go 10W30 since my car has 86,200 niles. What you guys think.

Thanks

+1 on the billion diffrent answers but if you have an early '01 (ie windsor motor) you should already be using 10w30, if it's a romeo eng, stick with 10w20 no matter how many miles it has on it.

Don't increase the weight of the oil because of mileage. I have 132,000 miles and still run 5w30 full-synthetic oil (windsor motor). Discussion on this and other forums have convinced me to run six quarts instead of five. (Ford later recommended six quarts.) If I remember the discussion correctly the return oil passages in the 4.6 are small and its possible to run the sump dry when driving hard.
