want Stang different

Just need a little input...you folks are true mustang folk.

I have a 2004 40th anniversry GT Convertible( mystic blue). I have put about $8k into a high end sound system (JL Audio & Folk)into it (I have no trunk). Some Flowmasters & CAI. Just a touch of blue LED in the interior, 2-pieice tonneau (painted same as car) with light bar. In 6- months it will go into shop cause I am not an engine person to add supercharger, diff, pulleys, etc.

I really want to add the 4-piece Stalker kit & side scoops, with a Black Widow hood, PMP Lambo doors, keep original wing.

Will I be looked down upon Mustang folk or is this modification (if done at the highest end)...be OK. I am not a ricer. This is my 3rd Stang (98(totaled it) & 99). Never modded one before this.

Just trying to make mine different!

Please constructive criticism is appreciated not just yes or no.

BTW...this site helps me a lot...Thanks

Personally i think the black widow hood is a bit much, and lambo doors imo are rice.

I think you'd have to go to tinypics.com like I did and download a pic onto that website, then the site changes the file type or something like that, and then u should be able to put it on here

Your car is not mystic blue, it's sonic blue. You so came to the wrong web site to ask about some of these mods. These guys are gear heads. A gear heads main concern is quarter mile. On this site the word rice or ricer means, something I wouldn't put on my stang.

You seem to already have a plan and a layout of what you want, if you are trying to be original why are here to get approval? I say if you have a plan and you thought it through go for it. Being a previous Mustang owner you had to have noticed most Stang owners tend to stick to the same exterior mods. I think you'll be fine as long as you don't get a double stacked wing and and a under carriage neon kit. LOL

I am keeping the same wing, no other neon except trunk, and a couple LED under dash for foot wells. I actually, might keep the same hood. I know this is a gear head site...but I like to get the input from the more traditionalist as well before I drop $4k into exterior mods.

Sonic Blue? Ford said mystic when I asked dealer. Looks almost purple at night. Thanks again for input.

I would put that 4 grand to use somewhere else like forged internals. I like the lines the mustang all ready has & wouldn't stray to far from it. Besides I think eventually you will get tired of the all of that kit stuff. But at the end of the day its your car. Just giving you my take on it. Good Luck with your decision.

everyone has their own opinion of what looks good, if you want the body kit and hood, go for it if YOU will like it.... personally i like the clean, smooth look of anything..

like this picture i found, just a small cowl hood and a smooth paint job looks hot! let us know what you decide to do

Yeah, that was the color of my '04 V6. When I bought this car I was looking for a Sonic Blue GT in autotrader.com and I saw them listed as true blue, metalic blue, baby metalic blue, you name it. Just because they work at the dealership doesn't mean they know the product. Mystic blue is a $2000 paint job for did for the Cobra that changes color in the light.
