Need some help, Im lost

So i started gettin blue smoke out the exhaust, ok it buring oil. And I noticed that the oil was milky so there coolant getting in which mean a blown head gasket. I pulled all the plugs and the #3 plug (3rd cylinder on passenger side) was black, they rest looked fine. I figured that was the problem, I pulled the head and the gasket looks great, no marks or tears. but the exhuast valve is caked in carbon. So theres somthing wrong in the 3rd cylinder but I dont know what and I still dont see where the oil and coolant are mixing? And on top of all that oil is leaking from the timing cover above the crank pulley. Help me out guys!! Heres some pics

Bad plug

This is what the rest of the plugs looked like

valves cylinder 3

Heres the timing cover

Motor has about 6k on it and the heads have about 6k since the rebuild. Even with the fouled plug the car still pulled hard enough to spin second above 4 grand.

This may be completely off, but I'll just throw it out there. Is there any possible way coolant could be leaking from the water pump, into the the timing cover via a crack in the gasket? And possibly oil is being thrown up there? I kinda seems like either way, that timing cover might need to come off, because there is no oil residue running down from the valve covers/heads. And I doubt the crank pulley is throwing oil up there, because you should have a perfect cirlce of oil where the pulley sits. And it seems doubtful that the oil would be coming from the block?
I know that I had a bad oil leak and it turned out to be the front main seal, made it really hard to tell where the oil was coming from because it was flipping the oil all over the engine.

Just kinda thinking outloud, throwin shit out there. Free bump anyways

looks like the leak coming from waterpump, the intake valve appears to be pretty wet with oil which would point to valve seals/guides. with the carbon build up on exh. valve proves oil is being burnt in cyl but it could also be because the rings did not seat right.

Did you do a compression test? leak down test? how much play in intake valve(stem to guide clearance)? condition and type of valve seal? valve seal seat on guide condition? many, many things to look at

As far as milky oil, where did you notice it, under oil cap? on dipstick? was all the oil a white milky appearance?

Mrsinister I appreciate any idea at this point. The gasket on the valve cover didnt look broken or cracked and I replaced it when I did the new motor 6k miles ago. There is definately a drip path down from the valve cover, but it possible theres coolant in there too, looking at the pic again, it almost looks too light to be just oil leaking down, right?

Limited, I stupidily didnt do a compression or leak down test, Im half tempted to reinstall the heads and preform one. I know the machine shop upgraded the valve seals to some high performance ones and Ive heard they dont always work well.

AS for the oil, I notice a white residue in the dip stick tube on underside of the valve covers. The cams looked well oiled, there was oil still on the cams, springs, valves, rockers. When I drained the oil, I didnt notice any coolant come one when I removed the plug, since oil floats on water (Coolant too i would think) I should have seen some come out. I didnt notice any coolant in the oil after it was drained either.

Is it possible that the white residue i saw was foamy oil from air comin through the valve seals?

that white residue could very easy be condensation. how do have your pcv set-up, are running a breather? do you do a lot of short trips? loosing coolant?

Im running a summit breather catch can, passenger side tee into driveside run to breather catch can. My daily commute to work is 11 miles and the car is my DD when its running. The coolant was a lil low in the expansion tank, but nothin to be too alarmed about.

there is a great possibility. with the breather set-up you are running you could be pulling in cold air as motor cools, being in NY,I would assume it is cold and high humidity at this time of year. I always get condensation on motors that run breathers.if you can run a pcv system (closed) with an oil seperator that would be best(the vacuum in motor also helps seals seal). The systems that hooks breathers to headers also work well, they use exhaust flow to evacuate motor

This is why you need to do a good diagnosis before tear down, the cooling system should have had a pressure check and checked for exh. gas's
