the modular is no more finicky than any other hi- performance build. attention has to be paid to piston to cyl wall clearance. follow piston manuf. recomendations. I like to run .0035 to .004 but some people run up to .006 which is pretty noisy imo. follow the piston ring manuf. for blown engine for ring gaps(usually around .022 to .024) since you bought a rotating assy I would assume the proper main/rod bearing clearances, rod side play, thrust, balance etc has already been machined into the crank. you just need the measuring tools to confirm this. follow all torq.and sequence recomendations by the manufacture(rod bolt torq with a torque wrench is about a 3 step process). replace the balancer bolt to a non tty bolt and properly torque it for oil pump gear longevity.

In anothers words...YOU'LL BE FINE

I have no doubt he will be fine, just make sure you do all the research and make sure all the clearences are correct, and also, make sure the machine shop you are using has the torque plate for the 4.6, good luck

agree'd, Machine shop selection is the most important consideration in a hi-perf build. Don't go to the one on the corner just because it is close and cheap. go to one that specialize's in hi-po builds, will cost more generally, DON'T SKIMP ANYTHING IN THIS AREA(MACHINING). it will make or break ya
