Without L/T headers or cams, yeah they are, especially on a 2V. Every mustang i've met with Flows are always either pissed or curious as to why my car is so much louder than theres. Not to mention the fact that I am now running a catted mid pipe so I lost some volume from my O/R X Bassani X pipe.

I think he was referring to the OPs comment of what type of "x pipes" to get. He was just letting him know that their is only 1, not 2 pipes.

Even though this question gets asked every other day, I'll throw in my .02 and say go with prochamber.

Everyone is going to get on here and basically tell you what they have and tell you that's what you should get. Listen to sound clips and figure out what you want. I have a BBK O/R X pipe w/ stock catback and I think it sounds great. I can't wait to get a prochamber and LTs though.

In all honesty that is not a good way to choose exhaust either. That all depends on how good your computer speakers are. The surround sound on my mac and my wife's lap top make things sound very different. Even going to shows gives you more of a feel for the exhaust but only for a limited amount of set ups.

Obviously hearing them in person is going to be the best thing to do, but listening to sound clips is a whole lot better than reading people's posts that say "Get Bassani, they sound good on my car" or "I have Magnapacks and really like them". That's why threads like this kinda irritate me, especially when there are stickies that tell you "Read this before starting threads about exhaust, gears, and CAI". What good is it going to do the OP for me to tell him that I like my BBK O/R X? Not a whole lot...

Youtube and sound clips will atleast give you a general sense of how loud the combination is, and if it's got a raspy or deep tone.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure Magnaflow is a straight through muffler.
No need no correction. Magnaflow mufflers and Magnapacks are both straight through mufflers. They wound way better that Flowmasters IMO.

Again, I agree and disagree. IMO my car sounds horrible on video. My camera doesn't capture the full range of sounds. Oddly video I shot with my picture camera at the Adirondack Nationals had surprisingly good sound quality. That factors in too.

lol, if you think that my mach or my gt now is quiet with flows then your car must be obnoxious.

I think the h-pipes sound about good with any muffler...really deep sound

However, the x-pipe will only sound good with the straight thru mufflers if you like loud and raspy/glasspack sounds
