tensioners themselves should be just fine. i have heard the windsors tend to wear the guides a little more than romeo's. if i remember right, there was some improved design for the 01+ cars, but i havent looked into that to see if there is any truth to that theory.

I would just like to know if there is a difference. On the summit link i posted it says they are the same but on ebay there are some for 01-04 and then 99-00. Anyone know for sure?

i bought this kit..only diffrence than mine was the crank gear...the one on the kit has a lip on it that the one on my car didnt have. i learned the hard way, after a snapped front cover, thats when i figured out the difference so i just used the old crank gear
im guessing my car has a windsor being that its a 2000, and on the ebay ad there is a big ass W that i thought was for windsor but i dont know..everything else worked fine for me
FORD TIMING CHAIN KIT 4.6 281 W, 9 CROWN VICTORIA 00-07:eBay Motors (item 120485111697 end time Dec-24-09 15:59:15 PST)
