prostars with skinnies
i am picking up a set of prostars with front runners...comes with all the lugs and "washers"...just wanted to make sure:
i don't have to get new (longer?) wheel studs correct? just as long as i use the lugs that come with the wheels? and as far as the front, will i need a spacer? what size? i assume i will be fine with the same spacer that the guy is currently using on his 94 cobra. anything else i should know? i have heard mixed answers on having to get longer studs or just using the right style lugs. thanks

I would go with longer wheel studs but its not a "Must have" and the spacers you speak of should work.I would say a 1/4 should be plenty.Thats what i ran with my GW's

If they are Weld Prostars, Longer wheel studs are a must have to be legal at a track

they are weld prostars but since safety won't be an issue i am not worried about getting longer wheel studs...none of the tracks around here will say anything nor have tech inspection lol so even at the track it won't matter.

the were weld drag lites. and its not the brake caliper, its the part on the caliper bracket that rubbed on my wheels. Mine are jegs, not sure if the weld prostarts are the same

and on that note i think i will get the longer wheel studs these look good... Products - Latemodel Restoration Supply

i run the weld draglite 15x5 with longer studs and a 5/8 spacer and have no issues. here is where i got my stuff i got 8 new studs and two billet spacers for like 190 i believe including the stud removal tool and insert tool. Mustang Wheel Spacers with longer wheel studs. Check out our kits. hope this helps these guy specialize in new gen mustang spacers and studs.

well i got them on...look pretty sick i must say. and i did a straight trade so got them with no money involved
![]() ![]() and the fronts did NOT fit even with a 5/16" spacer...we had to cut the bar on the caliper bracket off and use the spacer which thank goodness i picked up just in case (15 bucks for both at pep boys )i will probably order the 3" wheel studs and knock them in when i get a chance...sure wouldn't hurt to have the added strength and espcially with the spacer up front
