I guess I wouldn't get ones that say Shelby on because it's not a Shelby. I definately like my hood pins with my hood because it is way easier to line it up versus just one latch in the middle. But, don't take your factory latch out!! Mine doesn't have a factory latch and I learned the hard way that hood pins hold your hood down!!! $875 later, I have a sweet hood and a new windshield

Also, I got pins that don't stay in place. They are just pins through the hood, scuff plates bolted to the hood, and circle clips. The Shelby ones on AM would not move around because they snap over a tapered scuff plate - this would be very nice!! $110 nice - I'm not so sure?!?

I'm gonna grab some from Auto Zone, the cheap kind that are only like ten bucks- not for looks or anything, just my paranoia of my hood flying up.

I guess I'm not a fan of the cables. Do they scratch your paint or are they coated with something? And around here, nobody is gonna take my clips.

Cables have a very thin plastic type sleeve over them and aren't noticeable at all so they don't scratch your paint or anything. I love the pins and the cables, looks badass.

my dad told me they can kinda beat up the paint a little but. especially the bare stainless steel ones. but i'd assume somebody makes one with coated cables?
i just ordered a set of Sparco hood pins in black tho so i dont have to mess with the cables.

I've had mine for three months, no damage. Hardly ever even touch the paint See pics. If u like the look of the cables don't worry about them damaging the paint

Hood pins on a stock Mustang hood? You're going to need these then:

If you have the circle style pins and they keep sliding out I have an easy fix. With the hood pins in place use a sharpie or something to mark where the main pin is at on the circle pin. Remove the circle pin and using a dremel or file slightly notch/scuff that area of the circle pin. This creates friction between the main pin and the retaining pin. No more sliding. I did this on mine and I no longer have to keep pushing them in.
