Lowering springs

I have heard a lot about Lowering springs. I understand that they increase the performance of the car... better handling, turning, and control. I want to purchase four springs for my Mustang.

What is the best kind to buy?
Ford Racing? Steeda? Eibach? BBK?

Any input is appreciated. Thank you!

I have heard nothing but good about H&R's. What do the Ford Racing springs offer that H&R do not?

the ford racings dont drop as much as the H&R's
and the H&R's have a higher spring rate

Search for "best spring" and read to your heart's content

Higher spring rate means a harsher ride but better handling, . H&R Super Sports are probably the ones I would get if I was doing regular springs.

if you don't care about launches or tall tire height then do H&R supersports

isolators are the little rubber pieces that attach to ur spring at the top and bottom where it mounts to the body. its basically a spacer. you have them stock but if you have alot of miles you probably need to replace them.

Alright. After 54,000 easy miles I don't think they need to be replaced.

honestly some people dont even put them back in after the spring swap. i guess it *MAY* just make more nosie without them ???
i made sure i re-used mine tho.
&&about the Ford springs and the H&R's. well, the H&R's will be progressive all the way around, the fords are progressive in the rear only. the H&R's will handle better but ride stiffer. the drop will be more tho with them. i took 3/4 of a coil off the rear and 1/2 coil off the front on My Ford Racing springs to get the look i wanted

its no biggie, you gotta learn some how
when you look at a progressive spring, the spacing between the coils will be different. the coils will get closer to each other. a specific rate spring has the coils spaced the same throughout the entire spring. the more weight put on a progressive spring, the firmer it will get. thats what makes these the better spring when talking about street handling.

How much of a drop are you looking for? Or does it not matter and you just want the best performance?

I am looking for at least a 1.5'' drop plus better performance all around. It looks like H&R is the best option.

Yeah I have H&R Race Springs and I dropped about 1.7" in all 4 corners. I love the handling of the car now too. Very happy with them.
