People InSouth Carolina... Emmisions Laws??

SO in the state of SC we r not required to pass emmsions... BUT its a federal law to remove your cats. my question is, if i buy a MAC Prochamber will i get pulled over and/or fined and be forced to take it off and put my stock H-pipe back on? My old man says ill go to jail.. but i HIGHLY doubt that. Personal experiances and info appreaciated brosephs!

Unless you're being pulled over for driving like a complete jackass right in front of a cop, I doubt they are going to check you for cats. Usually they just check your mufflers if your car is really loud.

And no, you won't go to jail. They'll probably give you a ticket for loud exhaust and give you a "fix-it" ticket where you have like 7-10 days to get cats back on your car.

yeah i cant see being pulled over... i mean the prochamber isnt THAT loud. not near enough to draw a cops attention but my dad is being difficult

Lol... if your wondering i have been pulled over 3 times now and never once had a cop ever mention anything. BTW i have inspection here in houston and they dont say anything... Just to be safe turn your car off so that he doesnt smell the exhaust.

yeah we have inspections too but nobody cares to check. They dont even care if the windshield is shattered. "hearya go buddy. Now if uh anybody asks, i aint put dat on nair" says the inspection guy!

Man i'm up here in NC, drive down to Myrtle Beach all the time.. I have an off road h pipe and flows, not once have i been pulled over, and not once has a cop said anything to me.
