Burning Smell...

Recently I've began to smell a burning smell in my 02 GT with 19k miles on it. It's not leaking oil, and everything seems to run perfect. No codes being thrown nothing. I DO know that the car was never used in the winter for about 7 years, therefore the heater wouldn't have been on. I have recently started using it. If anyone has a clue to what is causing this, even though I realize it would be guesswork, I would appreciate it.

Is the smell only present w/ the heater on? Can u smell it if u pop the hood and smell around the engine?

same thing happend to me. it was smelling like that because i didnt clean up all the oil at the bottom of the engine.

Oil change just got done yes, but It was smelling like that before. Not sure about the rest of the questions, will get back to you tomorrow. Been feeling like crap all day.

Yeah this happened to me, not on my Mustang but on my previous car. Scared the hell out of me, burning plastic is really strong.

Car infront of me had a kids plastic swimming pool in the trunk, fell out, right into the cats, very very bad smell. Id check all under the car, do you smell it when the car has been running for a bit, or from the start up on?
