so i was offered this in trade for my mustang ...
don't no nothing about it, and he said it was never dynoed.....apparently the motor and blower have like 0 miles on them ...1967 Mercury Cougar pro-street with a 6:71 blower

classic car/classic power, I would be all over it like stink on s***t. will alway's be worth more $ than a modded late model car imho. I am seriously thinking of ditching my car and going back, way cheaper. I built that 468 bbc in my sig. less than you can build a 4.6 mod, hell it cost not much more than just the price of putting a KB on my mustang

that would be sick man.. one of my biggest regrets is selling my '67 Xr-7 4 Speed cougar. they're badass looking cars, pretty much everything for a 65-67 stang will work on it and they are way more unique than mustangs.

I have three other d/d and probably would myself, if I had more info on it. Once I got it that paint would have to go, maybe the nice green they had for that year. The interior would NEED to be returned back to stock...but leave the cage. The engine might stay. The 302 with a monster blower makes good power but doesn't look right lol. Might change the blower or look for a 390... bore it out and build that. Might change the rear end also, chopped rear and those fatties might help the car, but imo they might have to go. A lot of possibilities with that car. Who knows I might just return the whole thing back to stock...if it was even possible.
It is definitely a project car, that much I can see. Looks like its been sitting out side for some time. Something might be leaking at the rear...brakes? Good luck in your decision! Last edited by TorqueO; January 1st, 2010 at 09:39 AM. |

I am going to do a 69 fastback someday but I always worry about the cancer on the classics. I watch overhaulin all the time and even the good looking ones seem to have rust hidden everywhere. Thats a lot of work and $$$$$$
