homemade forced induction..... kinda ideas

Ok, these are made for boats so i would just hook it up to the battery, wat do you guys think about just putting this inline before the MAF. Would it do anything? I mean, they move alot of air.

probably wouldnt do a thing. They make electric turbos but you probably wouldnt see any gains at all

like i see this as a beefy electric turbo, and idk, doesnt more air =more power, dont functional hood scoops do anything at high speed because of more air coming in,

wouldnt this kinda do the same.

if they did work that well you would see a lot more of them on a vehicle

the only way is to try it.. if you experimented on a dyno before and after and got numbers i wouldn't be surprised if it gave you 15rwhp.. but are you really gonna spend that dyno time for such a cheap part? just a note, under WOT your car is sucking air through the intake probably faster than that thing can blow.. don't take my word for it but i've read that the air going through your intake at wot is going about 100 mph

hey give it a try superchargers an turbos had a maiden voyage, maybe with a couple of them on there u may see some gains but my opinion u probably won't see much.i once made a forced induction set up for a honda out of a heater blower and didnt see any gains but the intake sounded good when at WOT but that was on a POS honda, give it a try u may have us all installing one depending on results

The intake pulls in air faster than that thing is capable of blowing. It's just like 'ram air' it won't work. http://www.paladinmicro.com/documents/RamAirMyth.pdf

Also they are not made for any type of performance gain.http://www.boatus.com/boattech/bilgblo.htm
