Need to take off my ford oval..


Needing to take off my ford oval on the drunklid to do some stuff. I know where is a whole behind it. Is it bolted on there os something? How can I remove it without damaging it or the paint?

Its just held on by double sided tape. Use a putty knife and some care, a heat gun can be used as well.

I found that a hair dryer and dental floss is best way to remove the emblems on our Mustangs.

yeah heat that stuff up pretty good. Then take the Fishing line and wiggle it off. Then if you have a bunch of sticky shit still on the paint you will need Acrycol(spelling) or anything that will get that sticky stuff off. Im sure your local parts store or hardware store will have something like that. Kinda like Goo Gone if you ever heard of that but for Cars. Im not sure if goo gone will work on car paint.

i thought the emblems had holes behind them on our cars. i know the side emblems do.. not sure about the trunk ones though.

. GT on the fender, and ford on the decklid have alignment pins. The gt on the decklid does not.
