Electric water pump

Has anyone installed one of these before? What size belt did you use when you swapped out your stock waterpump? It looks like the new belt needs to be 3-5 inches smaller than our stock serpentine belt. I have a Meziere electric pump but no belt to put on, so had to put the stock one back on, oh well atleast its got a underdrive pulley on it.

Well ive also got UDP's, so that might make it different...or with the electric water pump (yes just and idler on there) i would still have a UDP pulley on harmonic balancer and alternator.

I've changed out the water pump before, it's not that hard. The stock belt should be just fine.

I've never installed or seen one before, do you have a link to one that would work for me, or a web site that has them? If it's worth getting then I will look into getting one.

Thanks for the links... I couldn't find any on americanmuscle.com, but I like the one on rpmoutlet.com. I had no idea it would be that expensive!

So, what's the purpose of the relay kit and the toggle switch? So you can turn the water pump on and off? Why would you want to do that?

Because you don't want your pump to run all the time.
