Finally got my 03 dynoed and tuned
Over the weekend I got over to Steen and had Ed Clark put a tune on my car. The outcome was 254rwhp and 290rwtq. From what I understand the numbers aren't too shabby for an N/A car with just bolt ons.

It's always fun to go an dyno your stuff.
I need to go to Steen so I can compare the results to my DTP dyno. |

I was trying to let you know that day I seen you, that they were having a dyno day this past saturday. $40 for 3 pulls with a/f. I don't know if you know or not, but there's been alot of controversy on TWR with the DTP dyno.

Yeah I heard a little bit about it from Mustang232. That's why I'm so interested in getting another SAE 'opinion'

I have an XCAL2 and my Mustang was Dyno tuned at Steen by Ed Clark.
I'm putting down 221rwhp and 326 rwtq on my V6 with a M90.

So how much are we talking to take my X-CAL 1 unit in and have them throw it on the dyno to get the tune right?

I agree Ed is the man.... As far as the dyno time at Steen it was $175 for the dyno time and Ed's time. I guess it just depends on the going rate where you're at.

Okay just so you know, the chip isn't worthless. It does help having the car chipped before you get a dyno. They both do different things and they both go hand in hand with each other at the same time. But anyway those are good numbers for a N/A car with a few bolt ons! Have fun! Doesn't having numbers just make you feel good inside!?

ehhh dynos are only good for tuning. numbers mean nothing unless your bragging. only numbers that truely matter are at the bottom of a timeslip. still though those numbers are pretty good from what i have seen....
a stock 04 last weekend just put down 211 on a dynojet though it was an automatic. right after put a 05 GT on and put down 279.6. a mustang dyno woulda been a bit lower.

It is nice to know what the car is putting down. I also found out before the tune the car was running lean in the upper rpms, and Ed said that it can cause the motor to spark knock. That would be a bad thing, so I'm glad I got the taken care of. Dilio you are 100% correct. Dyno numbers mean nothing, it what you run on the track. The dyno is just a method of tuning that car to get the most out of it safely. I plan on hitting the track this season to see what kind of numbers I'll put up.
