HP Gain on stock catback with weld in flows vs aftermarket?

Ok so this may be a newb question but could i gain any hp if i went with a aftermarket catback exhaust over my stock catback with weld in flows? I plan on goin MAC LTs + Prochamber but im prob gunna b keepin my stock catback for sometime. I dont think ill see any noticeable gains but id like some other people's oppinions on this since im not to sure about it.

Not enough to notice...or justify the amount of money spent. Put the money towards something else.

you wont notice a difference other than sound but there is a slight difference in power...SOTP wont pick it up though lol as far as tips go go 3.5"......3's look too small IMHO Magnaflow or SLP tips rank among the nicest

I didn't it help my numbers to much at all and seeing as how I already have flows I'm pretty well of on exhaust atm. But I really do live the look of a big ass chrome tail pipe xD where u can tell just by lookin at it, its a aftermarket exhaust. Stock pipes just look.... Stock.. BORING

you dont necessarily want chrome tips...all the shit that gets thrown up on em will make them pit eventually...polished tips can always be brought back to near perfect condition

I put weld in mufflers on mine just because I already had them. I thought it would of only made a difference in sound but I noticed the car revved up much quicker and could feel a slight difference. So I'd say the 5hp is about right

If you want chrome the nicest I have seen are MAC's...polished goes to Magnaflows...with SLP bein a close second...Im a little biased though too lol

I'd prob go wit magnaflow. Or maybe I can find someone runnin a prochamber with a non-MAC catback so I'd find out if they'd fit BEFORE I make a purchase. I mind as well go MAC all the way since I'll have the lts and the prochamber eh?

Only reason I say to stay the same is to avoid fitting issues Cuz that'd b a PITA.

slp says that a stock 03-04 cobra gains 25rwhp by just peplacing the catback. So yeash there is a difference. magnaflow says 8-15flywheel on there site.

In controlled environments....Very rarely can you purchase a part and see the actual gain stated by the manufacturer. Especially in his situation where he has already replaced the most restrictive part of the cat-back.

thats because in the welding process, somethings end up warping. it just a given. but i do agree with you on the 3.5" tips. I did love the way my 3.5" Bassani tips looked but i no longer run them. I just dump after the mufflers now

don't mean to threadjack,,,but assuming everything BUT my mufflers are stock (including the pipe after the mufflers to the tips) - if it's all stock, and I wanted to replace JUST the mufflers, I'd be looking for a muffler with 2.25" in and out correct? ('02 gt)
