JLT+90mm MAF= wtf? lol

anyone have any tips or ideas of how to get a 90mm MAF to fit where a stock one belongs on a JLT fenderwell CAI? lol Its like tryin to put 10 pounds of shit in a 2 pound bag

I was having trouble getting it into the elbow that goes down into the fender....I ended up taking a razor and chamfering the rubber then puttin a real light coat of grease on the bevel of the MAF...from there I got it started and used a small screw driver like a tire iron and worked it on lol I had to cut almost 3" of material out of the straight section of the intake to make it work with the KB and line up with the hole in the fender....its dead on straight instead of kinked like mooseknuk's (I mean no disrespect moose..I jus remember seein yours kinked and thought I would try to straighten it out)...I hope he pops in here so I can mention to him how to make it look like it did with jus the stock intake

this is what I ended up with F8lgt...the white spot down by the elbow was from where it previously rubbed...the reason the edges of the slices look white is because I wrapped the tube in masking tape before I started so it would be easier to mark with a sharpie..I think it came out pretty nice

I have the KB big air tube and it looks like poo.

That pulley is still tripping me out, did you ever measure it?

thanks buddy....I jus couldnt see puttin on KB's weak lookin "Big tube kit" or puttin the stocker back on...thats the highest volume intake I know of for these cars so it should be enough air for the KB to gulp down haha

My big tube really looks like poo...around the IAC/PCV barbs the guy used orange silicone...he has it smeared all to hell and back lol I still gotta measure it...I was concentrated on makin some progress and completely forgot

Yeah you would be choking the hell out of it with the stock intake for sure. Do you know the CFM that the JLT flows?

Damn that blows, I hate when people do things like that. See if you can clean it up I know there is people that would buy it from you.
