Stage 2 Cams W/ Stock Heads

I was asked if a stage 2 cam can be installed into a bone stock head. I had no answer to this question. Is this possible with no additional modifications ?

In some cases YES. HiTech makes a stage 2 cam designed to work w/ stock heads. There are no PTV clearance issues, stock springs can be used (under certain RPM), and they don't NEED to be degreed (although it would be a good idea)...

you can istall almost any stage 2 cam without any problems on our stock heads. lots of people do it with excellent results. However most cams require you to degree them so there are no PTV issues

Wow, I always thought that you had to have a performance head for stage 2 cams. Thanks for the replies !

its also a good idea to so valve springs on stage 2 plus cams.
