Got some goodies! Project winter build has begun.

My dad called me today to tell me I have boxes full of stuff.

Tokico struts and shocks, MM Caster Camber plates, Ford Racing C springs, 4.10 gears

Next I need to buy some Long Tubes and a mid pipe then a Borla catback, Throttle body and plenum and port my heads

I know c-springs lower the car, but how much? And why that over say an Eibach or H&R kit?

Yea take the K member out and they bolt right in.

But I got the C springs cause they drop the car a little bit. I dont want it scrapping the ground since I live on a dirt road that gets pot holes sometimes. I dont drive on level surfaces often

I dont have a write up but if you dont have a hoist dont do it. You'll save a ton of headaches by renting a hoist for the weekend.

Put it up take out the K memeber and the heads will be right there in front of you lol. Take off your steering shaft and put it in for however your brand of headers calls for. Then bolt it up with some GOOD gaskets. And use ford racing locking header bolts unless you wanna repeat all of this just to tighten bolts. Cause you cant get at the bolts once everything is put back together

BTW someone go look at my Cobra cover thread I need to know!

All you need is an extra floor jack to hold the engine.

I typed up a long thing that you can do it on the floor. I did it once and will never do it again.

But you need to pull the K member anyway you slice it. Like those pics posted. Just use an extra floor jack to hold the engine at the pan. Not the correct way but it'll get the job done

anytime bud I made the "engine holder thingy" lol all I did was take everything off, pull it back, and drop the K....no bleeding of brakes or power steering

That bar cost me less than $30 to make and it worked perfectly...I had a jack under the harmonic balancer just as extra insurance but it wasnt needed in the least...the bar never showed the slightest amount of bow

This is stupid but I'm a little unsure of wat holds the engine in place... Does the k member hold it up? Bc from wat I'm hearing here it's when u drop the k the engine needs support by home made "holder thingies" haha Orr Jack stand.
Oh and wat r we lookin at time wise? Hopefully I'll have a whole weekend but with a part time job I don't really kno if I'll get that much time to b 'carless'
