Just got 4.10's installed...... HOLY CRAP


It feels like a brand new car, third gear just pulls HARD. I love it.

The only thing I have a question about is the Speed Cal. When I first take off from a stop, the speedo zips up to around 50, then resets to 0, then it reads correctly. Is this normal for the Speed cals? I didnt have the money to get a tuner, and I got the Americanmuscle.com package that came with it.

I wouldn't think that's normal but I don't have one. Went straight to the tuner. I'm sure someone can chime in.

And I agree, 4.10s are sweet. Almost make first gear unusable.

Have to feather the clutch, but I was able to use first pretty well.

Second and Third... just all new beasts.

Glad you like the gears. No that is not normal btw. You may have a loose wire.

why waste the money on the speedcal? you should have just saved for the tuner, got the extra power from it and be done with it. So many people are so impatient.....

i sold my speedcal when i had the car tuned and ended up not too short of what i paid for it..

It was part of a package deal from American Muscle. So... I would rather pay and have the speedo correct, than have it off until I can afford a tuner (which is going to be a long time)

did you set the DIP switches correctly in the speedcal cause i had issues adjusting it but mine never did what you are saying

you can get DIP settings off of american muscle and i found out that (0)is the down position on switches and (1) is the up position on switches,hope this helps.

All the dip switches are correct. It reads the correct speed, however, from a stop, when I take off, speedo spikes up, then back to zero, then reads correctly. All this happens in about half a second. Just wondering if anyone else had this happen
