Looking for a new motor
Hey everyone, so my car just spun a rod bearing. I might not need a new motor but in case i do where can i get just a stock 2v for the lowest price? I have a warranty on the car but im looking just in case i need to buy one myself.
Thanks Bryan

you can get the short block off a lot of cars like crown vics, f150s but those are usually windsor motors, npi mustangs. check craigslist for those motors

doesnt sound like you have alot of money to burn, so upgrading isnt an option.

Problem being that my car as it sits only has 72k miles on it. It should be covered over warranty so im not worried.

I would be surprised if they will uphold that warranty with those mods...

I myself would find a short block from a NPI and put your top half on it

You could look for people around here that are building new engines and see if their old one is worth buying. Either that or craigslist. How much do stock shortblocks and stock longblocks in good condition usually go for?
